Band Bio:

Roger Buzby (Guitar, Keys, Lead Vocals):

I've always been into music, ever since I can remember.  I started singing in church when I was about five and in fourth grade I began leaning to play the trombone which I played right into college.  I was always the band geek and the one time I tried to join a sports team while in high school I discovered that chlorine gives me migraines.  So much for swim team right?  Anyway, I like hiking, driving, spending time with the Lord and my family, cooking and (of course) eating.  I am an incurable coffee snob and I don't apologize for it (usually).

I was saved in Corpus Christi, TX at the age of seven.  I remember I went home and told all my neighborhood friends about Jesus and prayed with my best friend to receive Christ.  I went through a long period when I didn't serve God during my Jr. high and the first two years of high school.  My mom left my dad when I was 19 and I was devastated and didn't want anything to do with a God who would let that happen.  It wasn't until I joined Amway and ended up having long conversations with a pastor in my upline that I began to realize that it was my mom's decisions, not God, who had led her to leave the family.  From there it was a slow gradual process to rekindle the long dormant passion for Christ I had had when I was first saved.  Some days I don't feel it but since I'm not led by my feelings (or shouldn't be) I don't let those days get me down.  I just keep seeking His will for my life and ministry and let Him handle the rest.

Favorite verse:  Romans 12:3

Alex Waller (Bass Guitar)

I am a junior at Stearns High School in Millinocket, Maine. I have been playing music since at least fourth grade, when I started playing the trombone and piano. In 7th grade I started playing the guitar, and in 9th grade I started playing the bass guitar. I enjoy playing sports such as basketball, baseball, golf, and tennis. I also like to spend time with family and friends. I love to eat, and also love coffee.

I asked Jesus into my heart at a young age, at the Maine Nazarene District Children’s camp in South China, Maine. Since then, I have been active in many church functions, such as Bible quizzing, NYI, Festival of Life, Teen camp, and being a youth leader at my church. The Lord has provided for me every day of my life, and I fully believe that He will continue to do so till the day I go to heaven.

Favorite Verse:  Psalm 7:10

Daren Blomerth (Keys, Vocals)

“When I was ten years old, my family would attend church meetings in people’s homes. I remember a few of the meetings well and enjoyed them very much. We gathered weekly and prayed and sang to the Lord, many times with no musical accompaniment. It was in those meetings that I was introduced to a loving relationship with Jesus. I read my Bible faithfully, seeking to know its truth and relevance.

After a couple of years, the fellowship broke up and I had no consistent spiritual support. As I grew into my teen years and became busy with school, friends, and a new love for music (thanks to those meetings): praying and Bible reading waned to the point of non-existence. When I was 18, I started attending Calvary Pentecostal Church and hearing their brand new pastor, Tim Haynes, preach and teach the Word of God. I saw the jubilant hearts in worship and was reminded of my exuberance as a child. I remember thinking, ‘I could really get into this, but Lord I need to know that You’re real.’ Not too long after, while walking through a department store, I was mesmerized by a simple store display that was playing Christmas songs. The words of the songs went through my head and through my heart. God’s Spirit bore witness in mine that yes, He’s real! My attitude and heart changed. Shortly after, on a Sunday in mid-October 1991, I became aware of my need for God’s forgiveness. I gave my heart and my life to God, through faith in His son Jesus, and stated, “I’m going to live for God.”

Born on a Wednesday, Daren likes catching fireflies and slinging crabapples when he's not sittin' 'neath the trees by the railroad tracks. As a graduate of Zion Bible Institute in New England, he's been a worship leader and youth leader and all that stuff for a good bit. He's very proud of his 2 daughters, Hannah and Sarah, and totally in love with his wife and best friend Elizabeth. Oh yeah, he also says he really enjoys playing keyboards and background antics... uh...
vocals for Exit 244.

Favorite Verse: Jeremiah 29:11

George Gallagher (Guitar)

I started playing music in JR High playing the trumpet, yeah I too was a band geek moving into high school playing in the high school band and jazz band. I got into guitar my junior year. Playing in different “garage bands” throughout the years, and playing with just about anybody that I could play with. Playing all different music styles, from twang twang country to drive my mother crazy heavy metal, blah blah blah… Saved at the age of 16 around a bonfire at Camp Living Waters, I found myself throughout the years not following a path that God intended for me to follow. After “waking up” to see that this life is short, that God has more to offer than this world ever could, and that His little reminders every day keeps me between the guardrails and the little bumps in the road reminds He is in control not me.

Favorite Verse: Romans 8:28

Vince Bryant (Drums)

"Get back there and play." Those were the words I heard when I was at a friend's house when I was 15 years old.  I have been playing the drums ever since.  I got my first drumset in 1991, as a graduation present, and it is the drumset I continue to play today.  You can see those black drums everytime you see us play.

I came to Christ when I was about 16 or 17 and after a couple of years, turned away from God's will and decided to "do my own thing", that is until a friend invited me to church.  When I was about 19, I rededicated my life to Christ, and although I have had some struggles on the way, I am thankful He has brought me far from where I have been.
